Office Administrator (flexible hours)

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for an Office Administrator and general project support person to join our team. This role has many facets - you will help ensure our office runs smoothly and our projects are delivered to clients at the highest quality.

The position will initially be until December 2019 to help us through a phase of high workload, however there is the possibility of extension to a permanent position after the initial contract period if both of us are keen. Depending on skill set and availability, we’re looking for someone in the office for 20-40 hours a week. Working hours and times are flexible and can be negotiated (school hours welcome).

What you will do:

As an office administrator, you will assist our team to ensure that everything runs smoothly and help our technical staff and Directors to focus on what they do best. Your task will range from scheduling meetings, preparing basic documents, maintaining office policies and procedures, accounting assistance, running errands as well as working with the team to ensure that our company outputs are of the highest quality.

You will maintain office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, e.g. for time sheeting; as well as organising office operations and procedures, e.g. filing or looking after office equipment.

What you have:

We will hire for attitude and train for skill; however, it would be of value to have:

  • Proven administrative experience
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Working knowledge of office equipment (e.g. printers)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Preferred drivers’ licence and own transportation
  • Excellent time management skills and a keen eye for detail
  • The ability to work independently within a small and diverse group of staff
